CMSIM InformationThis page is a start at a"CMSIM for Dummies"guide geared toward simulation of the muon system. Another place to look is the CMSIM information page at UCLA.
The simulation program for the D0 Upgrade was based on CMSIM
(by Y. Fisyak, who wrote
Web documentation for D0gstar).
The programs are beginning to diverge now, but much
information about running the programs and understanding the output
is similar. For instance, here is a
list of FFREAD keywords used in D0gstar and D0gen, most of which
are identical or very similar to those in CMSIM. (At least for
v112.)

Here are instructions for
installing CMSIM for Windows NT, (B. Greensmith) with
references to SCRI's installation instructions and additions made by
UC Davis.
Here is a web tutorial on HOW TO RUN
CMSIM 114, 115 or 116 ON DIGITAL UNIX AT UC DAVIS, (T. Cox). |
